With the growing popularity of online, secondhand marketplaces, many communities around the country have launched local SafeExchangePoints where buyers and sellers can meet to safely complete transactions. In 2015, the AIM Group, a classifieds and marketplace consulting group, launched the first website aimed at centralizing information about safe exchange locations emerging around the country. And while other websites have appeared with similar goals, SafeExchangePoint.com aims to provide the most comprehensive and descriptive database of safe places to complete offline transactions, and to make this information publicly available to law enforcement, consumers and app developers.
